Unclone finds duplicate photos and files on your computer, iPhone and iPad, shows them in groups and frees up space. Nothing moves until you have reviewed it.
Coming soon. Scanning will be free; cleaning up costs €9.90 a year — less than €1 a month.
Unclone only looks at first. You review, you choose, and only then does anything move.
Folders, external drives or USB sticks. System folders are always left out; the Photos library is only read, if you ask.
Every stage shows how much is left. Keep using your computer as usual in the meantime.
See the groups side by side, filter by type and move the copies to the Trash. Changed your mind? Put them back.
From the first click to a clean Mac, in five steps. Nothing moves until you confirm.
The same number written different ways becomes one contact — with a backup first.
Your Apple Mail inbox organised by sender, into folders. Nothing is deleted.
Unclone creates the filters; you import them in Gmail in 3 clicks. They work 24/7, on phone and computer — even with your Mac off.
The first time you open it, a tour shows you where to tap, using sample photos, so nobody deletes anything while learning. Every feature also has a short video in Settings → Tutorials.
The original is the oldest file. On a tie, the one that isn’t named “copy” or “(1)” stays.
Never pre-selected. The highest resolution is suggested, and removing a similar photo asks you to confirm you reviewed it.
Clean up only photos, only videos or only PDFs. Select and deselect act on what’s on screen.
Reads HEIC photos the right way up. Files that live only in iCloud are skipped, so your data plan is spared.
Finds the same number written different ways (+351 912…, 912…) and the same email, even under different names. Merges them into one, with a backup first.
Compares with your Photos library without touching it. Duplicates inside it go to an album, and you delete them in Photos itself.
See and clean only what came from each app.
Tested on a real iMac. The next scan is faster: files that haven’t changed aren’t read again.
“Keep only the best of each group” marks all but the highest-resolution one. None worth keeping? “Delete the whole group”, with an extra warning.
Duplicate documents are grouped by the app they belong to, with its icon.
The first time, a tour shows where to tap. Every feature has a short video you can watch again any time.
Simple, easy and intuitive. And what is different from the best-known duplicate finders.
The scan can be paused at any moment and resumes where it stopped. Closed the app? On the next scan, what was already read is not read again.
So you know exactly what Unclone does before you subscribe.
Download, scan and see how much space you can free without paying anything. To clean up, activate the license inside the app.
Unclone is being tested by its first families. Only reviews from real people appear here, published after they are checked.
Be one of the first to say how it went. After launch, App Store ratings will show up here too.
Your email app opened with the review ready. Just hit send.
No. It only scans and shows. Nothing moves until you confirm, and by default it goes to the Trash.
Identical files match byte for byte, beyond doubt. Similar photos are near-duplicates, like a burst: they’re shown apart and you decide one by one.
It only reads it, if you ask, to find loose copies of photos already there. Nothing is deleted inside it: duplicates in the library go to an album and you delete them in Photos, which keeps them in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
Yes. iPhone contacts reach the Mac Contacts app through iCloud. Unclone merges the duplicates and the change syncs back to the iPhone. It saves a backup (.vcf) first.
Yes. The iPhone and iPad version scans the Photos library (all of it or a single album, such as WhatsApp), folders in Files and USB drives, Contacts and Gmail. The first time you open it, a guided tour shows how to use it.
Deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days, in case you change your mind. Right after you delete, Unclone shows how to empty that album in the Photos app to get the space back immediately. No app can do this on its own: it’s an Apple safeguard.
The license works on one computer at a time. To switch, open License in the app, choose “Release this computer” and activate it on the new one.
No. Everything happens on your computer. The internet is used only to activate the license.
Unclone keeps working to find and show duplicates. Only cleaning is locked until you renew. Nothing you already cleaned comes back.
Try it first: scanning is free. If anything goes wrong after you buy, write to support. Refund rules will be published in the Terms before launch.
