Summary
Unclone looks for duplicate files, photos, contacts and emails on your own device. None of that is sent to us: we have no servers that receive your files, photos, contacts or emails.
What the app accesses, and why
Folders and drives you choose: files are read to compare their content and find copies. Reading happens on the device.
Photos library (if you allow it): read to compare photos and videos. On iPhone and iPad, what you delete goes to Recently Deleted, where it stays for 30 days.
Contacts (if you allow it): read to find duplicates. They are changed only when you ask to merge, and the app first saves a backup on the device.
Gmail (if you sign in with Google): the app reads message data (sender, subject, date, size) to group by sender and, only when you confirm, moves messages to Gmail's Trash. Access goes directly between your device and Google; the access token is stored in the device keychain. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Mac Mail app (if you allow it): read the same way, on the Mac itself.
What we receive
License (after launch): to activate, the app sends the license key and a device identifier to Lemon Squeezy's license service. Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy as reseller; we never see your card details.
Emails you send us (support, “Notify me”, reviews): used only to reply, tell you about the launch or publish the review if you allow it. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
